Under normal circumstances, it invests directly and indirectly at least 80% of its assets in debt investments tied economically to emerging countries. In seeking to achieve the fund’s investment objective, the fund typically invests a portion of the fund’s assets in over-the-counter (OTC) and exchange-traded derivatives, including options, swap contracts, forward currency contracts and reverse repurchase agreements.
