Highlands REIT, Inc. oversees a varied real estate portfolio that includes commercial office spaces, industrial properties, retail centers, and residential apartment buildings. Our holdings also encompass an unoccupied correctional facility and undeveloped land. Many of these assets were previously considered non-essential to InvenTrust Properties Corp., our former parent company, from which Highlands REIT was spun off in 2016. This separation served two key purposes: it allowed InvenTrust's leadership to concentrate on their primary investments, while simultaneously establishing a dedicated management team for Highlands, solely focused on maximizing the value of our specific asset base.
