The Pacific Funds Floating Rate Income - Class A fund strives to provide a substantial amount of ongoing income. Its core investment approach is to acquire income-generating variable-rate loans and debt instruments. Typically, at least 80% of the fund's holdings are dedicated to these floating-rate assets. The fund also has the flexibility to allocate up to 25% of its capital to foreign investments, provided they are denominated in U.S. dollars and are predominantly from developed international markets. Furthermore, up to 20% of its portfolio may be invested in other types of debt, including higher-risk, higher-yield securities often referred to as "junk bonds."
